LIFE THERAPY

Category: Life (Page 2 of 7)

Do you have a great vision or dream for your life but just can’t seem to get it together to make it happen – or every time that you do you get distracted?

Maybe you sense that you have potential but you just don’t know where to begin?

Maybe you have more dreams than you know you could realise in a single lifetime.

If so, this video is for you.

If you ever get frustrated by the effort that you feel like you put into life, but just don’t seem to get anywhere, this is a video for you.

Uniform Personas and the Projection of the Shadow

When he was forced to retire early due to ill health he had to give back his uniform.

He would have continued to work for free if they would have let him. I know this because, even though he was no longer getting paid, even though he no longer got to wear the uniform, that is really what he was; he was the uniform – or rather he was what the uniform represented – and, on the inside at least, he never stopped wearing it. He couldn’t, or wouldn’t let it go. He was his job and his job made him who he thought he was.

At one level you could say that he just continued to uphold the same principles as the institution he had served, but it was more than that. Return to Stillness: A Relaxed Reset for Mind, Body, & Soul.

What follows is an invitation to return to stillness. It is an invitation to calm your nervous system. To relax. To come back to yourself. To let go of that which is not serving you in life.

In this relaxation and letting go you can begin to re-energise. To learn to harness the life force you have and use it to live life in ways that is more fulfilling.

If that sounds like something you would like more of, the invitation to return to stillness contained in the video at the end of this post is for you.

No Such Thing As Good Advice

During my mid to late teens I had occasion to meet and listen to a lot of elderly people. Perhaps it was a bit of a meme amongst them but I would often hear a common refrain, that ‘youth was wasted on the young.’

After hearing this a few times I began asking if there was anything specific that they meant by this. They would generally say that experience in life had taught them that youth is a time of less responsibility and greater vitality. I began to follow this with ‘if they had their time again, what they would do differently?’
